Fiction Editor: Ilanna Mandel
Ilanna Sharon Mandel has been writing and publishing for about twenty years, primarily articles
and one book. More recently, she has begun publishing short stories in the genres of science
fiction and fantasy. She published her first children's story of the fantasy genre, Ghosts of
the Saskatchewan Valley, with Whispering Spirits, and the story went on to be nominated for an
Aurora Award - the awards for Canadian sci fi and fantasy writing.
Public Laison and Fiction Editor: Susie Hawes
A guest judge for the 2005 Flash Fiction Contest, Susie Hawes decided to stay on with Whispering
Spirits Ezine on a more permanent basis. She has many books out that can be found at her website.
Already known for kicking out reviews at other places on the web, she adds her talents to this
ezine by providing reviews and by spreading the word about Whispering Spirits Ezine.
Poetry Editor and Design Artist: Amber Hawkins
Writer of poetry in many genres, Amber has been published in three anthologies and is creating a
book of her own poetry. She also designs sales materials for horse ranchers.
Graphics Artist and Guest Editor: Ron Leming
Ron is a very talented graphics artist and author. He co-wrote THE GUTBUCKET QUEST with Piers
Anthony and his writings have appeared in many publications, as stories and screenplays. His
graphics appear on many cd/video covers as well as in many publications. Ron Leming is also the
